agreed legates got a good plan - it drops wut day exactly?

oo guys got some more info bout BI:

Sassanids - sadly the elephants they carry are not like Selucid or Carthaginian armored elephants but more like war elephants but with much more deadly archers (however historically i believe they threw spears from the tents on the elephants back).

Saxons/Goths - should get Housecarles which oughta be the best infantry in the game. They by themselves almost held a near impenetrable line at the battle of Hastings. They wielded axes (two hand or one hand) or one handed long swords and shields. They were insanely heavy infantry wielding almost unecessary armor - they were the tanks of their era.

Berbers - try lots of light, incredibly maneuverable cavalry and infantry - think of them as the Egyptians meet the Parthians (desert bonus, high maneuverability, horse archers) sadly their best unit of infantry will probably be only as good as say Principes (so obviously nobodys taking an all infantry army here)

yea saw Alexander the Mauryan battle was indeed intriguing but yea Housecarles were way to heavily armored - so expect them to be slow moving in this game - slow moving but heavy infantry they should b great for defense because they should also be able to form a shield wall.
